High Leigh in Hoddesdon is one of two residential conference centres owned and operated by Christian Conference Trust, the other is The Hayes, Swanwick. High Leigh can accommodate up to 350 guests for meetings and conferences across its many meeting rooms but didn’t have a venue capable of accommodating that number altogether.

The design proposals began with an options appraisal which determined that the most efficient solution would be to add a simple portal frame structure to provide a new meeting room, reusing the existing Yew Tree – currently the largest capacity, at 200 – as break out, foyer and occasional additional meeting room space for greatest flexibility.
