This 1720s cottage had been extended multiple times over the years, creating a disjointed layout that caused an inefficient use of space and a disconnection from the house to the rear  garden, making the inside very dark.

With a double height side and rear extension re-modelling and refurbishment, the cottage has been completely transformed into a bright and airy family home, which appreciates the beautiful views, connecting north and south landscapes through the house.

A large open plan living space has been created, and an addition of a master bedroom, writing and music room, all while keeping the cottage’s original historic features and character but also adding some new architectural features, including the beautiful oak spiral staircase, double height vaulted ceilings and large picture windows that take advantage of the landscape around them.
